Mr. Bellini is trying to recover from a stroke that took away movement in his right side. Up until his stroke he was a hair dresser for 40 years. He would like an electric wheelchair so he can become more independent. This wish was achieved thanks to the Rotary Club of Maui, which checked craigslist.com for cheap usable electronic wheelchairs. The wheel chair for Mr. Bellini was located on Oahu, and Island Movers helped get in on Maui.

Meet the Seniors!

Mr. Doll was a former cabinet maker and boat racer who made his own boats. He also used to be called “Flash Gordon” by his family. Mr. Doll is a very considerate man and didn’t want to disturb his roommate with his music. His wish for a Bose radio with headphones was our first wish granted!

Mr. Bellini is trying to recover from a stroke that took away movement in his right side. Up until his stroke he was a hair dresser for 40 years and has cut hair for famous stars such as Rod Stewart. Mr. Bellini wished for an electric wheelchair so he could become more independent and this was our second wish granted!

Mrs. Wedin used to own a cleaning business here on Maui. While at work she met interesting people who were here on vacation. Although Mrs. Wedin is wheelchair bound she wished for a helicopter ride around Maui with her nurse’s aid. She loves the Hawaiian culture and would like to see the beautiful islands from a new perspective. She is scheduled to receive her wish in the upcoming weeks.

Even though Mr. Yamanoha has lost his eye sight he is a very self sufficient person and can even play Bingo because he has memorized the Bingo card layout. His wish is to visit his family on Oahu and talk to his grandchildren. We are currently in the process of purchasing his airplane tickets.
